13 amp hot tubs plug into a standard outdoor socket, so there is no electrician to book and the tub can move house with you. 32 amp hot tubs need a dedicated supply fitted by a qualified electrician. In return they can run the heater and the jet pumps at the same time, which means faster heating and stronger hydrotherapy. We stock a wide choice of both, and we are happy to talk you through what your garden will need before you order.
What a hot tub costs to run comes down to its insulation, its cover and how it is heated. Look for full foam or multi layer cabinet insulation and a thick, well fitting thermal cover. For the lowest bills, pair your spa with an air source heat pump, which can heat the water for a fraction of the cost of a standard electric heater.
