Hiab Lift / Crane for Hot Tubs & Swim Spas
At Scunthorpe Hot Tubs, we understand that delivering and positioning hot tubs can sometimes require specialist equipment, particularly when access is restricted. This is where a Hiab or Crane lift becomes essential to ensure your hot tub is safely and efficiently moved into position.
When is a Hiab Lift Necessary?
For swim spas, a Crane/Hiab is always required to move them into position due to their size and weight. Depending on your access, certain hot tub installations may also require a Crane/Hiab. If your garden or installation site has limited access or obstacles such as fences, walls, or narrow pathways, a lift is often the only way to get the hot tub where it needs to be.
Arranging a Hiab Lift
Please note, a Hiab lift is not included in our standard delivery service. You will need to arrange this separately with an external company. However, we make the process easy for you by coordinating the delivery date and time with your chosen crane company. This ensures a smooth and seamless experience, with everything happening at the right moment.
How Does a Hiab Lift Work?
A Hiab lift is a type of vehicle-mounted crane used to transport and lift heavy items like hot tubs and swim spas. Once on-site, the crane carefully lifts the hot tub over any obstacles such as fences, walls, or buildings and lowers it into its designated spot. Our team will work closely with you and the crane operator to ensure the hot tub is safely positioned in your garden or on your property without any risk of damage.
Preparing for Your Hiab Lift
To ensure everything goes smoothly on the day of your hot tub delivery, it’s important to prepare the area where the hot tub will be placed. Make sure the space is clear, with enough room for the hot tub and any equipment needed to complete the installation. It’s also important to communicate with your crane company about any potential access issues, so they can bring the appropriate equipment.
